Astar Network Crowdloan Guide — Stake DOT to get ASTR
Parachain Auctions on Polkadot will officially start on 11th November but from now on, you can support the projects by contributing Your DOT tokens into crowdloans.

Parachains connect to Polkadot by leasing a slot on the Relay Chain for up to 96 weeks at a time, with the option to renew. Parachain slots are assigned by an on-chain auction, with auction winners locking up a bond in DOT for the duration of the lease. Astar goes for the maximum lease slot of 96 weeks (around 2 years). All DOT’s collected in the Astar Crowdloan Event will be locked for 2 years. ASTR tokens will be held under vesting conditions.
Astar Parachain Tokenomics
- Astar Network token ASTR total supply — 7 Billion
- The total amount for the first parachain auction is 20% of the total supply (= 1,400,000,000 ASTR)
- Crowdloan + auctions = 15% or 1,050,000,000 ASTR
- Bonus pool = 5% or 350,000,000 ASTR
Everyone will receive the same minimum amount of ASTR for each DOT!
1 DOT = minimum 30 ASTR
Reward ratio calculation: (Your DOT Contribution / Total DOT Contributed to Astar) * 1,050,000,000 ASTR
How to participate in the Astar Crowdloan Event
Through Astar Crowdloan Portal with Stakenode Ambassadors referral link below and all bonuses eligibility:
- Referral Bonus — You get a 1% bonus on Your contribution
- Early Bird — 20% bonus on your stake if you join before the end of the first auction ends — 18th November 2021
- Early Adopters — 10% bonus on your Astar Crowdloan contribution (if You took part in Plasm ETH Lockdrop in 2020 and You join with the same wallet You hold Your PLM tokens

*Please remember that the minimum amount to contribute is 5 DOT. Keep in mind that You need a minimum of 6.1 DOT to join crowdloan, as You need 5 DOT for minimum contribution, and to leave 1 DOT in Your account as an existential deposit, and something for tx fee.
Astar Network ASTR token Vesting
Astar goes for the maximum lease slot of 96 weeks (around 2 years). All DOT’s collected in the Astar Crowdloan event will be locked for 2 years. ASTR tokens received by joining the Astar Crowdloan Event will be held under vesting conditions.
- 10% of your tokens will be made transferable when transactions are enabled. Tokens that are still locked or under vesting can be used in dApp Staking or CrowdStaking. (Good News!)
- Crowdloan participants: those who obtained ASTR (incl bonus) through the Astar Crowdloan event will have linear vesting of 22 months. Vesting starts after enabling token transactions.
